Cajun Shrimp Pasta Recipe

Ingredients

Scale
    • 1 lb large shrimp (peeled and deveined, please. Ain’t nobody got time to deal with shells while cooking!)

    • 2 tablespoons olive oil

    • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning (you can find this at any grocery store, but feel free to make your own!)

    • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

    • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (this adds an extra layer of flavor)

    • Salt and pepper (to taste)

For the Pasta and Sauce:

    • 8 oz fettuccine pasta (or any pasta you love, but fettuccine is my personal fave for this dish)

    • 2 tablespoons butter

    • 1 tablespoon olive oil

    • 1 small onion, diced

    • 4 cloves garlic, minced

    • 1 cup heavy cream

    • 1/2 cup chicken broth

    • 1/2 teaspoon Cajun seasoning (just to bring that flavor all around)

    • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

    • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (freshly grated is always best)

    • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, because we want it to look good too!)
